DO YOUR PRODUCTS CONTAIN CBD, THC OR OTHER CANNABINOIDS?
Hempy's Heart Hemp Seed food products do NOT contain CBD, THC or other cannabinoids. Hempy's Heart Hemp Seed foods come from only the hemp grain.
CBD, THC and other cannabinoids are concentrated in the flower produced by female plants grown in greenhouse conditions. While also a noble endeavor and a beneficial element of this generous plant, this process is vastly different than the direct-seed method used on production farms across Kansas for hemp grain and fiber production.
Hemp grain production is much more like a traditional agricultural crop than you might have thought. Like wheat, corn, soybeans, sorghum and other crops commonly grown in Kansas, industrial hemp grown for grain is seeded directly in the ground in early spring and harvested with a combine in late summer or early fall. The harvested grains are cold pressed to make hemp seed oil and hemp flour or protein powder. The fiber is chopped and baled like hay and serves many of the same functions as cotton, jute, flax and other fiber plants. There is no CBD, THC or other cannabinoids harvested from these plants or involved in the process of making any Hempy's Heart brand products.
WHAT ARE THE NUTRITIONAL BENEFITS OF HEMP GRAINS?
The nutritional benefits of eating hemp grains are many! Packed full of protein, fiber, omegas and other nutrients, hemp grains are the oldest (and newest) superfood on the planet!
Hempy's Heart Hemp Seed Oil is high in a balanced blend of Omegas 3, 6 and 9. It is gluten-free, low in carbohydrates and cholesterol free. Hemp seed oil is cold pressed and food grade quality but also often used as an all-natural moisturizer for skin and hair.

WHY WERE FARMERS NOT ALLOWED TO GROW HEMP FOR 80 YEARS?

The Marijuana Tax Act of 1937 originally made it much harder to cultivate and the Controlled Substances Act of 1970 classified it as a schedule 1 drug, in the same class as heroine and cocaine. All that changed with the 2014 Farm Bill and Hempy has been growing hemp grains ever since!
